This project is under an NDA. You know how it goes - new startups are very protective about their ideas and only share it with a few people that they can trust. There is a close knit group of people that are building this idea to life. As this project is still in it's early development stages, I cannot share any more information about the speficis of the tool we built. However, I would be happy to discuss my role and my learnings over a call.
At its core, Chain employs advanced machine learning models to analyze vast amounts of data, including historical sales data, inventory levels, supplier performance, market trends, etc. By processing this data in real-time, Chain provides actionable insights and predictive analytics, enabling businesses to make informed decisions and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
Current supply chain management platforms are notably cumbersome and challenging to navigate. Their interfaces are often outdated, requiring extensive training for proficiency. Users encounter difficulties in manual data entry, resulting in errors and operational delays. Real-time insights are scarce, hindering quick decision-making in response to market changes. These platforms strain resources and impede agility, limiting growth opportunities. It's imperative to streamline these systems with intuitive, AI-driven solutions to optimize operations efficiently. We require a Spartan solution—sharp, efficient, and seamlessly integrated—to conquer the complexities of modern supply chain management with precision and agility.

Problem Statement
Having no prior experience working in this space, I had to work hard to set the right benchmarks for the current industry standards for similar products. A mistake we tend to make is assuming that the UX maturity of certain user bases will be similar across all domains.
It's really important to account for edge cases before you go into design lock-up for a design system. I found that user journeys were the most helpful in identifying these edge cases and accommodating them early into the designs.
Iterate, iterate, iterate. I think this has been a common learning across all projects.
There was a big influence of project management tools in this project. Previous experience in building a project management tool really helped me create flows and UX elements quickly and accurately.
